Photo rights policy

You keep your copyright

Photos filed on LIDD remain the property of the contributor who took them. By filing, you give LIDD permission to display them with your story, in shares of that story, and in community alerts linking back to it.

Credit and traffic

Every story credits its contributor by name and links to their own site for the full album and video.

Only file what you own

Don't upload photos taken by someone else, screenshots of other outlets, or images you don't have rights to.

Reporting misuse

If you believe a photo on LIDD is yours and was posted without permission, email info@longislanddailydispatch.com with the story link and details and we'll review it promptly.
